Tomball Fire Chief, Randy Parr, gave an informative presentation to the TBLC members and received a check for $500 from the Tomball Lions Club for their Christmas Project helping families in the Tomball community. The Tomball Fire Department is expanding to meet the demands of the growth of the city of Tomball. Currently there are two fire stations, one on the west side of Tomball and one on the east side of Tomball. This is by design due to the City of Tomball separated by the railroad track. The department covers 11 square miles in the city limits and 24 square miles outside of the city limits. The response times are 5.5 minutes inside the city limits and 8 minutes outside the city limits. The department is completing a station on Telge Rd about ¼ mile north of the Grand Parkway to improve response times on the west side of Tomball. A new station on the east side is in the future planning stages. The department answers approximately 2000 calls per year.
