The Tomball Lions Club utilized funds provided by the Texas Lions Foundation for food to aid families affected by the Hurricane Harvey Disaster. Mrs. Christy Lieder organized a group of people in the Tomball and Cypress, Texas area. Mrs. Lieder and her group fed flooded residents and workers in Cypress, Texas specifically in Ravensway (A subdivision located Northwest of Houston) affected by the Cypress Creek flooding with 30+ inches of rain from Hurricane Harvey. Her group was able to feed 120-180 people with different hot meals on a daily basis for over two weeks.  The Tomball Lions Club Treasurer Al Gerhardt's wife Eva (2nd from the left) and his daughter-in-law Kimberly Gerhardt (3rd from the left) helped in preparing and delivering foodsShe has been receiving donations to help her and the group to provide a hot meal, dessert, and plastic ware needed to eat the meal every day. The Tomball Lions Club is so happy that they can make a small difference in this disaster relief effort.
