The Tomball Lions Club utilized funds provided by the Lions Club International Foundation for food to aid families affected by the Hurricane Harvey Disaster. Mrs. Christy Lieder organized a group of people from the Salem Lutheran Church located in Tomball, Texas. Mrs. Lieder and her group have been feeding flooded residents and workers in Cypress, Texas specially in Ravensway (A subdivision located Northwest of Houston) affected by the Cypress Creek flooding with 30+ inches of rain from Hurricane Harvey. Her group was able to feed 120-180 people with different hot meals on a daily basis for almost a month. She has been receiving donations to help her and the group to provide a hot meal, dessert, and plastic ware needed to eat the meal every day. The Tomball Lions Club is so happy that they can make a small difference in this disaster relief effort.
