Lion President Hardee introduced special guest speaker, Judge Laryssa Korduba, Justice of the Peace for Harris County Precinct 4, Position 2.  Judge Korduba was accompanied by her Chief Clerk, Ms. Tracy Hobson. Judge Korduba was accompanied by her Chief Clerk, Ms. Tracy Hobson.  Her offices are located at 7900 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble, TX.  Judge Korduba is the first female Justice of the Peace in Precinct 4 being elected in November 2014.   She gave a very interesting presentation on the duties of a Justice of the Peace and the types of cases she gets involved in (traffic, theft, eviction, criminal, etc.).  Many of these cases are “Judge Judy” type.  Along with population growth in Pct. 4 (currently over 1 million residents) there has also been a growth in the number of criminal cases.  Judge Korduba has had a goal in her 1st term to improve customer service, increase the use of technology, along with quick and fair justice (efficiency in the courtroom), and extending community outreach programs.  She emphasizes that “good justice is swift justice”.   A Q&A session followed.

Lion President Bubba Hardee then welcomed Lions Tania Hall and Christina Hall who transferred to the Tomball Lions Club.
