Process of Glasses from Donation to person receiving glasses on a mission trip to Honduras.

The team will describe the process that a pair of glasses follows from time of donation until the person receives them. The Tomball Lions Club provides the glasses to the Conroe Noon Lions Club to be processed and made ready for any mission trips. The Conroe Noon Lions Club under the direction of Tim Cox provided 585 pairs of glasses to Christy Lieder of the Salem Lutheran Church Mission Team. She took all of the glasses on a mission trip to San Juan de Opoa, Copan, Honduras to help the community there with new glasses for the residences. |

Lion Larry Smith, District 2-S2 Chairman of Leader Dogs for the Blind, and his assistant Bentley, a 7-year old German Shepherd that helps Larry to demonstrate Leader Dogs for the Blind. Larry's presentation will include: details of the renovated Leader Dog facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan; raising a Leader Dog from conception of a new litter to retirement of a loyal friend; and what these magnificent dogs are able to do for a blind person. Larry will address the cost of raising a Leader Dog, the dog breeds that are used, and how a person can qualify to be come a Leader Dog Client. For the past 5-years, he has served as Chair of the Leader Dog For The Blind Chairmanship. |
